Candidates for this award undergo MotorTrend’s comprehensive performance tests that assess each vehicle based on the following criteria:

Each vehicle is tested on three different tracks at a professional automotive testing center before the finalists are chosen. The Ram 1500 impressed MotorTrend judges during testing with its power and efficiency fueled by a strong 3.0-liter Hurricane Straight-Six Turbo engine that can deliver up to 540 horsepower.
